Yes! Back only a mere 2 weeks since last storming show and this weeks promises to be more of the same. Nestled in between the new releases the amount of freebies is reaching reaching double figures! I know, awesome innit? Another fortnight, another blinding show. We were all sorts of busy in the run up to this one, especially with Killian Junior entering the world – But nevertheless we can assure you this is one of the best shows we’ve put together yet. Featuring tracks from both DJ Madd and DVA‘s brand new debut albums, plus envelope-pushing exclusives from Brero and Janner. We here at the Robot Bodypop have been fans of Hungarian producer DJ Madd since day one. The main vein of this, his long awaited debut album, is deep, gloomy, and bass laden – backed with heavyweight drum tracks slamming over sinister textures. Compliment the boom and the bass with the vocal talents of Lady Maroo, Rebel MC and LX One and you have a perfect package.

Departures from the classic deep dubstep stylings come in the shape of tracks like ‘Body Pop’ which is a dark and techy electro stepper – And ‘Junglist’, an old skool ravey bass fest of breaks and ragga samples. The quality lives up to and surpasses expectations from this influential producer. We’re not being funny, but if you don’t buy this it probably means you touch kids.

Any fan of the Robot Bodypop show quickly realises this is a mouth-watering line-up for us. Alongside Kryptic Minds, Just Skank bring the mighty DJ Madd, Dub Phizix, Killawatt and the rising Compa. A serious line up staged at the Moho Live venue. Theres a second room featuring upcoming talent and the hosts for the night come in the form of Broke ‘n’ English wordsmith Strategy, GNI MC and Sin Seer. I hear Compa is going to be there selling whites of ‘Dem A Talk’ so be sure to get in early and corner him. Really looking forward to this one and it promises to be as diverse as it does upfront. Big up Just Skank for this
