Another frenetic 2 hour set of some of the finest future beats money can (and can’t) buy. Starting off with some classic Stenchman, there’s also a brand new track by Lorn plus more unreleased goodness from long time supporters Rdubz and Brero. In the last part of the show we have the badman sounds of Russian dubstep producer, dj and label boss N.Killah in the Transmit Sessions Volume IV. Lorn | Ask The Dust

Lock into this Saturday’s show for a preview of things to come from dubstep producer Lorn. We will be featuring the first single called ‘Ghosst’ taken from the forthcoming album ‘Ask The Dust’ which drops on Ninjatune in June. You can preview the whole thing and pre-order on the label website. The decision to pre-order shouldn’t be a hard one as this has all the makings of a classic.

El-B featuring Wiley | Romp V.I.P.

About 6 months previous we sent a begging email to dark garage proponent El-B for a copy of this insane VIP mix to play on our show. Whilst not forthcoming he did take the time to drop this short reply into our inbox a couple of days ago

just got this msg now. lool

holla

neglecting to mention that the track in question had been made available to all and sundry via Soundcloud for a limited time only – Cheers mate! If you haven’t yet heard it then you are in for a treat. The original track minus Wiley‘s vocal came out in february as a limited vinyl – Hopefully they will be re-stocking soon. Big up if you caught this VIP whilst it was available and if you didn’t thats some snide luck. Catch it at the end of 1nejack‘s set on this weeks show. Next time.

Kusto | Pyongyang EP

Bank Holiday weekends can take it out of you, but hearing Kusto’s new vibes helped sort my tattered mental into a more manageable mess for the working week. Available on a ‘name your price’ basis from bandcamp (give generously) the Pyongyang EP stretches from ethereal atmospheres to rhythmic club bass. There’s a nod to the mainstream on ‘Raquel’ too which features an anonymous female vocalist crooning somewhat inappropriately over a dark sounding beat. The last track ‘Keep Rackin” ticks all the dancefloor boxes making this a formidable varied release. Pay as much as you are able and help the artist by sharing to your mates.

Transmit Sessions Volume 3 | Controlled Kaos

ON THIS WEEKS SHOW:

This weeks transmission originates from way across the atlantic in the suburb of Chesterfield, Virginia deep inside the big ole US of A. Whilst yet to gain widespread recognition Controlled Kaos attention to detail and high workrate marks him out as one to watch in 2012.

Big on the drums and atmosphere, his tight sub weighted productions have featured on numerous free releases as well as the ‘Timelapse’ LP on the Dank N Dirty Dubz label. There’s a brand new 3 track EP in the offing on LU10 this month, and he also has forthcoming releases on Depth Records and Illicit Trade, including the heavy roller above – ‘The Force’The brand new ‘Slug Proof EP’ is out now.

In addition to that you can catch his regular radio broadcast every wednesday between 1pm and 2pm GMT (6pm-7pm EST in the US) via electrolouis.com

We asked what we thought would be a few routine questions to get to the man behind the music.

What was your first musical purchase?

My first musical purchase was a drum set.

Okay, great. Which is your favourite track in this playist? What does it make you think about?

My favorite tune in the mix has to be Von D – Your the one, I love the jazzy vibes in it.

We’ve not seen you do many remixes – Is there anything you are keen to have a go at? How do you feel about the whole dubstep remixing trend?

I am not really big on remixes because I prefer to write my own, remixes are fun to mess around with though. As far as the whole remixing “trend” I think some are good some are bad and some are people just doing it to try to get noticed.

What will be the next big thing?

I have no idea what the next big thing is, I just hope it sounds good haha

Whats the biggest animal you could throw over a crossbar?

What’s a crossbar?

Er.. Sooooo..

Transmit 3, incoming!

Free Tunes

It’s a bit of a giveaway extravaganza this week. In fact there isn’t even wriggling space as we have packed  our mixes  jam tight with.. tight jams (yeah wot) and gathered them all here just for you the listeners. We want you to know that we care.

First up its some sweet 2009 vibes from Sleeper named ‘Blame It On The Voices’. Moody and deep as you would expect and it comes alongside 3 other jams that you can pick up from the Hedmuk blog.

Pick up all 4 here @ the Hedmuk blog

Next up its some soulful 140 vibes from Canada with the mighty ‘Stroke’ by SOUL Muu-Szik. Summer vibes on this one. Bag it and check out his other cuts there on Soundcloud.

Moving on it’s some tit-for-tat remix shenanigans from Darquan and Amit. Amit up first remixing the seminal ‘Warrior Dance’ by Darquan

And then Darquan up with a rolling badman take of Amits ‘Dirty White Trash’

Neither likely to feature on Soundcloud for very long but theres a ton of sites with links to either tune so Google could be your friend if they disappear from there.

Next it’s dirty 180bpm business from newcomer Iant. aka Ian Taylor – He’s done this VIP of the ‘Oil Slick’ cut and made it available for free via rudebass.com. It’s some techy minimal vibes – grab it here.

Next up, more of the high BPMs from the legendary Concord Dawn who have just not stopped making banging drum and bass since their heyday in the late 90’s and early 00’s. Grab ‘ElectroCute’ on soundcloud.

And finally, another newcomer on the Robot Bodypop – With a name like the Mad Zion-tist we really did not know what to expect. ‘Mind Driven’ completely blew us away. It’s already one of my favourites.

More freeness on the way from Killian once he’s cleared up the days excrement and tears.
