Next up is the Radio Los Santos free EP from Habstrakt and Badjokes featuring the cut featured on this weeks show remixed by War & Mateba.

Following on, the man Compa gave up this Bjork remix as a thank you for 1000 Twitter followers. Can’t go wrong with the mental Icelander on vocal duties because frankly, she’s awesome. Couple that with Compas midas touch. Love it.

Project 13 Manchester

Underground music continues to flourish with the passion of either a solo player or collective group. Its this passion that has gained streaming audio/ visual radio station Project 13 recognition and a following in Manchester and beyond. Going out live from the studio (which also doubles as one of the founders bedrooms) every Wednesday, this group pushes the boundaries of the genres they frequent. Branching out into club nights and now also podcasts its unknown in what direction this collective will head next but they are a solid and reliable choice for bass heavy music. Alongside the residents, recent guests have included Thelem, Guy Richards, Hedmuk, Compa, Biome and Pandemik with many of the shows available on the channels archives. Be sure to check these guys out.

 “The Long Walk South”, with it’s unique blend of seductive, deep vocals and a non-trivial bassline, is, first of all, a brilliant attempt to think over the UK bass scene outbreak through a prism of the American soul. With 2 other swaggerish solo tracks, a chopped & screwed remix from Kingthing, a halfstep wonder refix from Mista Men and a garage-rave mutant edit from Sentinels, it might seem this release is perfectly balanced to please any audience.

We are deleriously happy this week with the discovery that The Long Walk South is now out as a free release – This is an unbelievable giveaway from eastern european label Wicked Bass Records – perhaps my favourite so far on this blog. Preview all 6 tracks here then grab the DL from mediafire.
