F – 7even recordings

Featured in the playlist this week is a free track called Phase Two by F from Paris – You can bag it here. And we are pretty much wetting ourselves at the prospect of scooping Full Throttle/Slow Down when it drops this Friday.

District – Haymaker/ 3.5 Grams [CHST013]

Newly released on the mighty Chestplate label, Districts latest cut is a monster 12″. Deep bass and a weighty groove make this debut release a must-get. With the creepy and twisted metal sounds of Haymaker on one side and 3.5 Grams on the flip offering a more sparse and darker vibe this is probably my favourite 12″ of the last few months. Big things to come in future from District I’m sure if this is any kind of a taster. Bag it.

Camo & Krooked – The Lesson (Ft. Skittles)

Forthcoming on the highly anticipated Camo & Krooked album thats dropping on the 3rd October on Hospital records, Skittles gets in the studio with the duo and between them they conjour up a storming dancefloor cut. With Manchester MC Skittles trademark wordplay alongside two of the UK’s freshest producers this is only one reason to pick up the album. As if you need another.

Fragmentality Pictures 17.9.2011 Roadhouse Manchester

So here are the pictures from the ADHDJ collectives’ debut at the Roadhouse last Saturday. 1nejack opened up for the Robot Bodypop with a dub-reggae tinged set to warm up the proceedings and went back to back with Killian playing deep beats for the first hour and a half. Next up was Ben Starr from No Rush Dj’s spinning moombah and carnival vibes. DJ Penance paved the way forward with some funky tribal house rhythms and glitch hop, leaving the stage set for Metrodome to totally smash up the set with his unique brand of filthy hardcore dubstep. We got great feedback from the night and are really appreciative of the many people who braved the grim Mancunian weather to show their support. From the Robot Bodypop and the Fragmentality crew a big

THANK YOU!!

Special shouts out to Ed Sprake for his awesome work with the photography 🙂
