For a long time it looked like Future Garage with all its melancholic melodies and minimal construction had totally left behind the formula that made UKG so great in the first place. Barcelona based Headbirds brings the focus back to danceable rhythm and good times. With the notable exception of ‘Temprodom’, a dark and experimental sloper, ‘Whatch The Movie’ and ‘Hungry Winds’ bang hard for the party crowd. Available now from Juno.
It’s no secret that here at Robot Bodypop we have a proclivity for eccentricity and innovation, and this night hosted by the well established BPM team ticks both of those boxes and more. For a start it’s the first instance we are aware of that a live Orchestra has been billed alongside upfront garage and grime MC’s. In the relaxed setting of the reputed Contact Theatre the stage is set for a showcase of epic live music.
Tickets are limited so we are sorry for the short notice but if you can get your foot in the door we are sure you will not be disappointed. Acts start from 8 and the afterparty continues after 10pm. See you down there!
