RESO is a bit of a anomaly in the Dubstep world. Having started out in music playing drums in Rock bands, he only became interested in production at around 18 messing about on hip hop e-jay (we’ve all got to start somewhere) and when he finally got hold of a copy of Logic and a computer and started to push – in his words – ‘crappy breaks and D&B’, he was 21 years old. Since then his skills have developed and grown, planting him on firm ground in the dubstep world where he is now celebrated as one of the pioneers.

As one half of UK hipHop outfit Broke’n’English, Strategy shows off what their recent Umbro bursary can do in only 2 weeks! Not one to shy away from his roots, the lyrics are a homage to the City he grew up in and everything else that happened along the way. Sparkz – Back 2 Basics EP

Sparkz started writing lyrics and producing his own tunes when he was just 15 years old.

In 2009 he won music competition “MCR Superstars” and was awarded the prize of travelling to New York to meet various hip hop artists and have the chance to work in the studio with them. He leaves next month.

Inspired by his win Sparkz began to work harder on music by improving his production skills and getting his hands on the microphone at nights in Manchester.

With hype building and his name appearing alongside the likes of Mouse Outfit, Broke n £nglish and Skittles he’s ready to show you his combination of laid back productions and honest real life lyrics with his first free download.
