Incorporating electronic production along with live instrumentation, Raikes Parade AKA Andy Blundell is a musician & producer residing in Manchester. Working with bands before working on his solo project he’s producing some of the most authentic and organic riddims we’ve heard. Pushing the boundaries of the one-man band this is refreshing, exciting whilst also hard to believe its all coming from a bedroom. Check out his work on Soundcloud, Collaboration Dub with Relic being a favourite over here.

Mars002, Mute & Mako
Inspired by the soul and groove vibe found in the 90’s, label Mars hopes to re-establish ‘a sound almost forgotten’ in Drum & Bass. Mars002 comes with Mute and Mako on a double-edged roller. A-side ‘Essential Form’s keeps it bouncy with some smooth vocal stabs whilst the flip ‘Who Knows’ keeps the percussion tight with some punchy beats backed with a soulful energy perfect for the dancefloor.
Also celebrating 2 years in the game, Mako and his label Utopia Music offer up a free D&B stepper. A slice of future beats served up with some crisp drums and a side of twisted funk. Grab this while you can.
Hectic – Is This The End? EP

Four humungous tracks full of dark synths, cold drums and vicious sub bass. The four tracks range in style and contain elements of dubstep, 2-step garage and house.
We became aware of this guy after listening to Blynk’s remix of ‘You Got Me’ (featured on this weeks show). Pushed by not-for-profit netlabel FWONK, there are some amazing vibes on these four cuts. Dark and funky. Bag it now.
Wachs Lyrical (Regent) – The Long Walk South

“The Long Walk South”, with it’s unique blend of seductive, deep vocals and a non-trivial bassline, is, first of all, a brilliant attempt to think over the UK bass scene outbreak through a prism of the American soul. With 2 other swaggerish solo tracks, a chopped & screwed remix from Kingthing, a halfstep wonder refix from Mista Men and a garage-rave mutant edit from Sentinels, it might seem this release is perfectly balanced to please any audience.
Geek Boy – Static Velocity
![]()
Featured on the show this week is a juicy dancefloor worthy slice of electro moombathon from Melton Mowbray’s Geek Boy – and we thought all they made was pork pies!!
Pick up Static Velocity right here entirely for free, and check out Geek Boy’s Soundcloud for a variety of other fresh and original tracks. We will be watching this guy closely from now on.
ADP & Ritual
Two monster tracks this week. The first from Californian producer and Organized Grime resident ADP. A dark and sinister roller with punchy drums and futuristic synths, this track is one you could easily work into the dancefloor.
Next up its a remix of a Robot Bodypop favourite, Jamie Woon. Theres been many reworkings of his ‘Lady Luck‘ track but the soft and melodic 2 step number rolled out by Ritual is probably the finest we’ve heard. The vocals roll above and below the smooth soundscape and the fact this guy is only 16 means only big things for this part time Mancuinian resident.
