This Leeds based future dub outfit go from strength to strength, constantly evolving and developing their sound  whilst sticking with a style that is distinctly their own – no easy feat with many artists struggling to keep the ideas flowing after their first release – yet this is Paper Tiger‘s third convincing outing to date and each is an improvement on the last. Back with Mancunian label Mind On Fire this trippy, perfectly syncopated and bright release draws on dub and funky house influences and hits all the right buttons. Paper Tiger – Send Me

As promised a couple weeks back we have a brand new release from Paper Tiger hitting our playlist. This 3 track EP is typically eclectic for the group, whose influences include reggae, garage, glitch and hip hop. ‘Send Me’ has cutty 2 step vibes, with a nice sampled vocal and a funky rhythm track. There are 2 versions on this cut, track 3 being the live version, all recorded in one take with no overdubs. ‘Ask Me How I Am’ is a the tripped out B-Side with a deeper vibe. These are some accomplished live performers and I will keep emphasising this – GO AND SEE THEM LIVE!!! This will be your next opportunity;

Paper Tiger – Worldwide Takeover EP

You’ll have to excuse us for sleeping on this one a little while. We have been fans of Paper Tiger for well over 2 years now since catching a couple of their live shows in Manchester, and somehow this debut EP had escaped our attention until last month when it was uploaded to soundcloud.

Apologies aside, these guys are something a bit special. A future hip-hop and dubstep crew hailing from Leeds, Paper Tiger fuse electronic beats and synthesisers with live instrumentation, at times laced with the lyrical talents of MC Raphael Attar.
