Lando Kal – Maneuver/Run It (Rush Hour)

One half of the bay area future hip hop team Lazer Sword, Lando Kal’s solo work is an altogether different kettle of bass.

Dense instrumentation, analog synth and drum machine work, complex melodies, and creeping basslines are pooled from his musical obsessions with 90’s RnB, classic house, freestyle, garage, Detroit Techno, early synthesizer music, Timbaland, and… to be honest, everything in between.

Check out this innovative release on Rush Hour Records. Vinyl well worth a space in your collection!

Also peep this – a sick collaboration with london MC’s the Foreign Beggars. It’s tracks like these that put Lando Kal amongst the most innovative of his generation.

One of the hottest new talents surfacing from Sweden, Teknian’s productions are gritty, deep, loud and downright dirty all at once – Yet in amongst the chaos this young Scandinavian’s attention to detail can send chills down your spine. Check out this forthcoming release on Screwloose Records to see what I mean.

We are tipping Teknian for huge things in the near future and with his unique brand of deep distorted dubstep we are keen to see just where he takes it. Manchester based producer Qualmsound is devleloping a deep and atmospheric signature sound evident on his new release entitled ‘Genesis EP’ out on Soulstep Records. Uplifiting soundscapes with a dolly mixture of synths and heavy subs make this a release not to be slept on. ‘Breath’ harks back to early dubstep vibes while ‘Etheral’ has positive and bright vibes to carry you through. Breath then gets the remix treatment by Blynk. Hearing is believing. Bag it now from Juno Records.
