On the Robot Bodypop we espouse 2-step in all it’s incarnations, especially the original old school garage a’la Wookie/Sticky/etc. We bring you something of that distinct 90’s flavour with this nostalgic yet fresh new EP from the one like Rush’d.
The ‘For My Dogz’ EP draws deeply from the original blueprints. The opener -‘Easy’ – is chilled yet anthemic, and we caught vague undertones of The Streets‘ early productions. ‘For My Dogz’ is on a breaksy vibe, and the no doubt familiar old school garage ‘bloop’ sound rolls this one out nicely. Track 3 is a Koalah remix which brings the Juke vibe and comes out sounding all kinds of crazy and fresh. You can preview all 3 tracks below.
Make sure you catch this one on Square Harmony Records from April 23rd. It’s time to take it back folks!
